Coaching combines
elements from business, sports and personal development. It draws on many
disciplines, including psychology and sports psychology, management
development and training, Neuro-Linguistic programming and emotional
intelligence.
I have been trained by one of the world’s biggest and most credible
coaching companies; Sydney based Results Coaching Systems (http://www.resultscoaches.com/). I
have undergone extensive coach specific training and am able to deliver
personal, business or executive coaching to people from all walks of life.
This training is aligned with the International Coaching Federation (ICF)
Core Competencies. The ICF is the largest non-profit professional association
of coaches worldwide (http://www.coachfederation.com/).
There
are five principles that are the essence of Results Coaching.
These are:
1.Self directed learning - The coaching process helps you find
your own answers. I take a structured questioning approach, rather than
directing or advising.
2. Solution Focus - Coaching focuses on the future, not the past and is a
forward moving process. You set your sights on where you want to be and
systematically focus on the solutions to get you there.
3. Stretch - Clients are stretched and challenged to achieve their best.
4. Positive Feedback – I provide encouragement, support and positive
reinforcement.
5. Structure – A structured framework is used, with a set series of
coaching sessions and with clear and specific goals.
Ethics: I adhere to the ICF Code of
Ethics, which outlines the professional conduct of coaches, including
confidentiality and privacy.
